Paul Beats Obama In Poll For The 2012 Election

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

Conservative House representative Ron Paul, may be thinking of a run in 2012 following his stop by in the key primary state of New Hampshire on Thursday. While there he he criticized his fellow republicans for minimizing NPR aid yet still approving vast amounts of dollars for the operations in Afghanistan. Ron Paul was also in Iowa a few weeks ago and said, that in the event American citizens lack a presidential candidate who is financially capable to cope with the overall economy then he would have no other choice than to run. Congressman Paul’s son Rand Paul and newly elected American Senator stated he may announce his candidacy in the event that his father makes the decision not to.

While many of the GOP challengers are expected to make announcements fairly soon, The congressman has still remained on the fence about a possible bid for president. Nevertheless as the other contenders enter the race, it may give grounds for Paul to run against unattractive challengers. He has led in the CPAC straw polls in 2010 along with 2011 and it may very well be because of his candid speeches on the concerns of government waste. The Texas congressman’s motivation for trying to get the position as President of the United States definitely seems to be to correct America’s problems, and not self-centered reasons. Nevertheless, he worries about making it through the actual republican political election. Congressman Paul hopes to constrain government spending and regulations within an intensive way and feels on many occasions that republicans usually are not for a small government. Having virtually no National engagement in foreign countries and creating restricted federal government input on family value problems has a few religious republicans concerned.

Looking at the latest Rasmussen poll, Paul is basically tied with Barack Obama in the event the normal election would begin right now. This is certainly far better than the other conservative prospects which are somewhat behind Barack Obama in the same polls. Additionally Ron Paul has an unbelievably large lead among independent Americans , 42 percent for Republican congressman Ron Paul to President Barack Obama’s 28 percent.

Ron Paul will likely need to confront the christian conservatives in Iowa that feel concerned on the subject of his position on gay and lesbian marriage. Congressman Paul has stated continuously he is in opposition to legal guidelines on the national level that limit privileges to individuals consequently he cast a vote to repeal “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” within the armed forces. He has said that gays shouldn’t be terminated if they’re not causing a disruption. Then again, The Texas congressman will not help support laws that approves gay and lesbian unions on a federal level. Ron Paul is convinced laws and regulations that manage these kinds of concerns really should be dealt with by states.

As part of his address in Iowa Paul has associated our present-day federal government to a monarchy, where now we have a king that is over-taxing and regulating us enough where our whole entire government is splitting at the seams. He explained satirically we no longer depend upon our household, but instead the American government and have supplied them overall command in regards to our savings. He explained metaphorically that Americans currently place our income and our beliefs in a false god and now we need to transform that sort of perception.

Republican congressman Ron Paul suggests the United States citizens are actually too submissive with enabling the US government to get rid of personal protections, to solve this he brought in a law to our lawmakers that was prepared in a single passage stating the government should never have the ability to do anything whatsoever which American people don’t have the right to do.

Courage to Stand by Tim Pawlenty

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Tim Pawlenty, former Minnesota governor, is on a book tour promoting his new autobiographical and advice book “Courage to Stand” and is expected to make an statement that he in fact will be making a bid for the president of the United States in 2012. All signs are pointing to yes and even the governor himself said he is leaning yes. The book itself focuses on promoting strong leadership in government by stressing the importance for leaders to be able to say no to pet projects and government spending. Moreover he stresses that a strong leader is able to make the right moral decisions that face them by reflecting on life’s lessons.

Pawlenty thinks of himself as a Sam’s Club Republican which essentially means that he is a mainstream republican that supports the common man rather than the well-off. More and more the Republican Party is becoming more diverse and it’s no longer a country club for rich people. He believes that many social conservative’s ideas are being undermined by a few republicans who wish to only serve the upper class.

Pawlenty made major changes to the Minnesota deficit by fixing the 4.8 billion dollars of debt the state was facing without raising any taxes. However, his decision to make these cuts wasn’t necessary popular and he had the courage to do what was necessary in order to resolve the looming debt. In his book, Pawlenty discusses the skirmishes with democrats in the state legislator over fiscal issues, which ultimately led to the ten-day government shutdown in 2005. Although it wasn’t always in house bickering, he mentions times when he reached across the aisle and worked together with the Minnesota DFL (extension of democratic) party.

Pawlenty was mentioned as a possible Vice Presidential candidate in 2008 and was assumed to be McCain’s choice until Sarah Palin emerged. Pawlenty expresses kind words for Palin in his book referring to her as a ‘force of nature’ within the Republican Party. He further cited her great enthusiasm and ability to mobilize grassroots organizations aligned with the party.

From the death of his mother as an early teen to his triumphs and tribulations through making his way through school, Pawlenty reflects on his childhood and the lessons he learned growing up. Originally from South Saint Paul, Minnesota Pawlenty was raised in his later years by his father, who was a truck driver. Pawlenty says good morals and life lessons have added value to his ability to lead.

Roemer 2012: Makes the Official Announcement

Friday, March 11th, 2011

Former one-term Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer was raised in on a cotton plantation in northern Louisiana close to Bossier City. Roemer jump started his political career by running for the House as a democrat in 1981 and holding that seat until 1988. While in the House of Representatives Roemer consistently went against the Democratic Party on policy issues and tended to support the republicans and the Reagan administration. Roemer describes himself as a “Methodist boy” and attends church on Sundays. There he met his wife Scarlett, who plays the piano for the chapel at a neighboring church.

Roemer left the House of Representatives in 1988 to run in the gubernatorial election for Louisiana state governor. On his campaign promise to “Slay the Dragon” Roemer ousted the sitting democratic governor, Edwin Edwards, in the democratic primary. He won by 5 points and Edwards resigned his post, giving reign to Roemer before he was even inaugurated in January of 1989. Edwards decided to run again as a democrat and announced his candidacy for the 1992 gubernatorial election, however by this time Roemer had switched parties. It was looking like another Edwards/Roemer election until Roemer was challenged in the republican primary by David Duke. Duke ended up winning the republican primary causing Roemer to lose his bid at reelection.

Last year Roemer played with the idea of running for president back in 2010 and subsequently set up an exploratory committee. He recently spoke in Iowa to get the caucuses familiar who just exactly who Buddy Roemer is. During the speech Buddy gave a brief background to the conservative in the audience and discussed his accomplishments as governor of the State of Louisiana. Furthermore Roemer emphasized his career in the House describing his work as a conservative democrat aligned with the Reagan policy.

Campaign finance reform is Buddy’s platform for the 2012 election. He is limiting all donations to only one-hundred dollars a pop from every donor and will not take funds from any major corporations or PACs. Buddy is sincere on this issue and understands how special interest money negatively affects America’s goals. In 1992 he was majorly outspent by two candidates for the governor’s seat in Louisiana. Both Edwin Edwards and David Duke had major funds from almost all the special interests within Louisiana and both later ended up serving prison time on various charges of corruption. Roemer believes that this sort of financing in campaigns has the ability to corrupt politicians who then serve their special interest groups rather than the American people.

Last week Buddy Roemer made his announcement that he does indeed plan on running in 2012 and he believes he can do this without the support of special interests. He believes that politicians in D.C. have lost their way because they have taken too much money from special interests. Roemer accused special side deals with campaign funding groups as a major factor in why we have such a large deficit and financial crisis. Currently, he is the only candidate who will not be taking funding from special groups and PACS.

Herman Cain 2012

Friday, March 11th, 2011

With all the recent controversy over the electability of other 2012 possible presidential candidates, Herman Cain might just be the true conservative we’re looking for in 2012. Herman Cain, a syndicated radio talk show host and once time senatorial candidate in 2004, reflects true social and fiscal conservative values without carrying baggage from his past.

Cain, some republicans believe, will come out strong in the primary due to his socially conservative values that are sure to inspire many Iowans next year. Furthermore he is free from the personal scandals affecting some of the other possible candidates. In terms of electability, he might just be more electable than some of the stronger names out there. His background in business and being a Washington outsider will surely open the eyes of some Tea Party activists, especially with his stance on permanent tax cuts for business and citizens and downsizing big government.

Cain’s business experience and ranges from being CEO of the popular pizza chain “God Father’s Pizza” to bank chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He has also been successful as an executive for Pillsbury and analyst for the Coca Cola company. Cain argues that if only 7% of Obama’s advisers have ever worked in the private sector how can they expect to fix the economic problems facing America today. He believes the only way businesses will open their doors for new employees is to cut taxes, deregulate and throw out the legislation that is putting roadblocks to success. If businesses are allowed to thrive, then they will hire more workers, which gives more money for people to spend in the economy.

Cain stated at the American Conservative Union that he wants to throw out the whole tax code by eliminating the IRS by putting an end to corporate, income, and payroll taxes. Instead he says we should implement a federal retail sales tax where Americans will only have to pay taxes for the services or goods that they buy. When the Bush tax cuts were being debated he argued that we shouldn’t merely extend the top corporate tax cuts, but rather make them permanent. Other expenditures on business also have Cain talking, such as Obamacare which also affect business tax. Cain has been outspoken on government health care since his run-in with Bill Clinton at a town hall meeting in 1994. He asked Clinton what he should tell his employees after the government health care plan is enacted and he has to lay off his workers. Clinton sheepishly responded by saying businesses would only see a one and a half percent increase in their overall cost. Cain told Clinton flatly that his numbers were wrong.

Rather than just doing the talking, as he has been on his Atlanta based conservative talk show, Herman Cain said he would like to actually act on his ideas and he feels this is the best timing for a 2012 presidential run. With the other candidates in the field looking wounded before the battle starts, Cain is someone to consider as the many months of debate push forward.

Honesty Distinguished Abe Lincoln

Friday, February 18th, 2011

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” President Abraham Lincoln was noted for telling the truth, something our fellow Americans appreciate more and more as we find it less and less in today’s situational politicians and opportunists. He was not a politician, but a statesman.

As a store clerk, Lincoln overcharged one lady customer six cents and walked three miles to settle the debt. Another time, he left a small weight on the scale while pricing tea and again walked a distance next morning to return the right amount of tea. “Honest Abe” he was called because he set an example working with integrity. The stories of his honesty followed him through his legal and political career.

Abe Lincoln seemed to live with bare necessities. “No man ever had fewer advantages than Abraham Lincoln. As a boy, he was the poorest of the poor. No rich friend held out a helping hand. But see what he had already accomplished by pluck, perseverance, and honesty! He was very awkward and far from handsome, but he was so modest, so unselfish and kind, that every one who knew him liked him. He was a true gentleman-a gentleman at heart, if not in outside polish.”

(“The Story of Abraham Lincoln/In the Legislature,” Wikisource, The Free Library, accessed February 4, 2011.“The Story of Abraham Lincoln/In the Legislature,”)

Lincoln began his political career at the age of 22. The people sent him back for a second term to Illinois Legislature. He was ultimately sworn in as president on March 4, 1861. He fought four years against on onslaught of counter-mixing opinions to preserve the nation against all odds. He decided to meet the humane purpose of the war head-on with the Emancipation Proclamation to free the slaves. On November 19, 1863, he delivered the most famous speech in American History, the Gettysburg Address, over a terrain littered with thousands of war dead from both sides.

“He had not had access to many books, but he knew books better than most men of his age. He knew the Bible by heart; he was familiar with Shakespeare; he could repeat nearly all the poems of Burns; he knew much about physics and mechanics; he had mastered the elements of law.” Yes, Lincoln avidly carried and read his Bible. “In regard to this Great Book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book” (Baltimore, 1864).

Who Will Be The 2012 Presidential Candidates?

Friday, February 4th, 2011

There are many 2012 presidential candidates who may be of interest to you. The thing to keep in mind is that we are still very early in this process. As a result, there are no clear front runners, and everything can change. When you look back at past elections, we really do see a situation where a lot of different people express an interest in running for office with very few ultimately ever doing so. So what will 2012 presidential candidates be talking about? The 2012 presidential elections are going to be very interesting.

So what are some of the issues that will more likely than not be discussed this upcoming election? For the most part, it is very hard to predict with any degree of certainty what topics will be talked about. However, it is highly likely that basic issues revolving around domestic politics will surely come up. This is because most people understand that there is a lot at stake.

However, you can certainly spend some time trying to figure out what some of the major issues are that these candidates will be talking about. For example, one person might ask what a candidate might have to think about healthcare, national defense, or other domestic issues. So from that standpoint, many potential 2012 presidential candidates are probably spending some time thinking about different issues that will have a really big impact on their lives.

At the end of the day, the 2012 presidential candidates will likely be a diverse group of individuals who really have the opportunity to make some meaningful changes. However, you also need to keep in mind the fact that there are still likely to be a lot of people who won’t really declared their candidacy until the last minute.

Here’s the bottom line: nobody knows for sure who the 2012 presidential candidates will be. While there are certainly some people who have expressed an interest, it has yet to be determined whether or not these individuals will ultimately run or not.

When you really stop and think about it, most 2012 presidential candidates have probably not even really decided whether or not they plan to seek elected office. The reason why this is important is because you don’t necessarily want to get caught up wondering about who might run for office or who might not run for office. Is simply too early to tell.

If you are somebody who likes following politics, then you are probably already thinking to yourself that there are certain people who you’d like to see run for office in 2012. It might actually be fun to write down a couple of different names and to try to basically make some predictions of your own to try to figure out who might ultimately run.

Another factor that needs to be taken into consideration is the fact that many voters don’t really pay attention to politics until the last minute. Therefore, if you happen to be somebody who is truly interested in trying to figure out who might be a candidate, the reality is that a lot of the potential candidates may not even stepped forward and told closer to when the nominating process begins given the fact that they don’t want to be in a situation where they announced too early.

In the final analysis, we will have to wait and see which 2012 presidential candidates declare themselves to be involved with this race. Needless to say, there is a lot at stake and there are many people who openly question whether or not it will be possible for there to be a diplomatic and friendly rays given how many serious issues are confronting the country.

Who do you think is going to run in the 2012 Presidential Candidates?

The Famous Farewell Address

Monday, December 27th, 2010

George Washington Farewell Address is much discussed piece by George Washington. Everybody knows that George Washington is the 1st president of United States of America. He is really a wonderful patriot of America. He is affectionately referred to as as The father of United States of America’. First he served America as a General of continental army. He played an active role in fighting with England to attain independence. After America got freedom from the clutches of England he became the initial president of the new country. He served the nation two terms. He is a fantastic general, a excellent president. He is also very close to the persons of America.

The speech was initial appeared in a magazine referred to as American Every day Advertiser September, 1796. The date is nineteenth. The magazine belonged to David Claypool. That means more than two centuries ago the speech was made public. Later George Washington Farewell Address is printed in a Boston Paper called The Chronicle. The Chronicle is co owned by Isaac Larkin and Thomas Adams

The paper was pro Republican Party. The draft of the speech was first prepared with the support of James Madison in the year 1792. It was planned as a farewell address by Washington after his first term of presidency

As Washington’s retirement did not happen then, the draft was put aside. It really is said that Washington gave the draft to Alexander Hamilton for revision. Everybody knows that George Washington is the 1st president of United States of America.

Washington expressed his desire to retire from active political life. By the time he served America for forty five years. George Washington Farewell Address praises the federal system of governing America. It gives excellent significance to unity. It is not in favor of party system. Washington was quite much positive that party system will lead to corruption. It drives residence the importance of moral values and religion. George Washington Farewell Address gives valuable advice on economic policies also. It says that taxes need to be convenient and pleasant. It adds that state debt must be limited. Washington isn’t really especially encouraging in forming lengthy standing friendship with foreign countries. He never encouraged making military all powerful. People of America read and attempt to follow various suggestions given by George Washington even as on today. They feel that his words have ever lasting appeal.

Flawed Presidents

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

More important than proving perfection on your parties side, is a willingness to seek out the mistakes and correct them; to improve; to monitor your integrity. In the face of the opposition bashing away and looking for any sign of weakness it is tempting to deny any fault at all, but it is still weak to ignore potential improvement. For a leader to inspire confidence, he must maintain a balance between claimed efficacy and a willingness to examine and adapt when changes will make a real impact; Not because the opposition is demanding apologies for not adhering to their views, when their only cause is your destruction, and only when reason makes a strong case.

Many are those who are so quick to put the blame on the president but are blind to their own faults and those who let their own party’s mistakes go unnoticed.

I’m reading 1776, a book written by David McCullough. In public, George Washington led by inspiring confidence and a positive outlook but in private he was greatly apprehensive of the Patriot Army and its success. When his army was defending New York City, he made a number of bad decisions; he divided his troops who were facing a more powerful force, he chose a bad leader for an important position, and he switched halfway through. Those changes he made only served to confuse his soldiers who were going to battle. He overlooked the importance of a lesser-known road in Long Island that the British army used to outflank the American soldiers.

Washington, fortunately, did not have to face a barrage of demands and questions from the opposition for his failures in battle afterwards. He did the best he could, learned from his mistakes, and improved on what they lacked to defeat the British who, at the time, was at its height of military power. He made several mistakes but it did not make him less qualified to do the task. Washington even admitted to congress that he felt he was not worthy of his job even after leading the army to success. The British made several mistakes as well but history would not be as we know it if George Washington was dismissed because of his miscalculations. Congress was well aware of his mistakes but they chose to believe in his leadership instead of highlighting his shortcomings to further their own political ambitions.

Nowadays, politicians will stop at nothing to put down their opponents, putting forth unverified facts and disregarding the potential damage it could do to the nation. The media help them along by their exaggerations, setting back the country’s progress. More people are now seeing though the deceptions of these unthinking politicians. We can tell who are those working for the good of the people and those who are only making superficial noise, being self serving and pampering to other politicians’ egos. If only they realize how they have lost their dignity and credibility to the insightful and perceptive public.

The Texas Political Environment

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

Soon, we will have the 2010 Texas Elections. They are very important for the state of Texas. We choose by democratically electing an individual who will run and govern Texas. The majority decides who will hold public office. It is in our best interest to choose the right individual. We need to make an important choice for our own sake. I mean, the Governor will stay in power for at least four years.

Did you know that the Governor of Texas can approve any bill which the Legislature passes? Being a Governor can be really difficult sometimes. The Governor has veto power and they can grant paroles on almost all offenses. This year, we have three top candidates. The first is Rick Perry from the Republican Party. The second is Bill White from the Democratic Party. The third is Kathie Glass from the Libertarian Party.

Bill White is a former Mayor of Houston. Rick Perry is looking to get re-elected for the third time. Kathie Glass is a lawyer from Houston. She used to run for Texas Attorney General.

In case you didn’t know, Texas is a state which is considered a Republican stronghold. What are the main topics for this election? Well, border security is very important. Then, we have education. The economy is always a great concern also. Well, the deadline for voting is set at fourth of October. To help voters, Texas will launch a web site that will inform voters about the election. This way, voters won’t have such a hard time getting information about voting. It will ultimately help the election.

On this web site, citizens will be able to register as voters. They will also be able to change their address on the voter card. They can complete a registration form for voting there too. And, most importantly, they will be able to get more information on the representatives.

Does the state of Texas look like a place that you want to live? Not sure? In this case, pick a big city. For example you can always stay at one of the San Antonio hotels for a weekend to experience the city. When choosing a place to stay, I highly recommend staying at one of the alamo hotels.

The Design Of The Presidential House

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

The mysterious veil surrounding the interior design of the White House has slowly begun to disappear as many more reporters have written articles related to this subject. However, the secret design details are only known by the family members and the national security agents as people are not allowed to the private area of the White House.

Each new elected President modifies the aspect of the White House according to his preferences. The first lady is free to make as many changes she wants in the private area of the mansion, whereas the public offices have been preserved with their original styles because any small redecoration must first be approved by superior authorities.

The rooms that the public is most familiar with are the Oval office, the Blue and the China chambers. These spaces are often used for televised transmissions, unlike the private space which is kept for the use of the family members only. Accessories may vary from one room to another; however, the interior design of the White House is predominantly Victorian due to the large pieces of massive wood furniture and the floral upholstery designs.

Every room is decorated with royal chandeliers, Persian or Oriental rugs and overstuffed furnishings. Many of the elements contained in these chambers have been the same from the very beginning of the White House. As a tradition, these antique and historical pieces of furniture are refurbished every ten years to maintain their aspect as good as new.

Although there arent many changes that Presidents may effect to the public offices, the rugs and the curtains of the Oval room are changed every time a new head of state is elected. This easy method enables the President to change the room according to his personality without replacing the furniture. At present, the Oval chamber is accessorized with taupe yellow curtains and a matching rug thanks to the new President in charge, Barack Obama.

Everybody can use the style of the Presidential mansion to get the inspiration they need for the redecoration of their home, as long as they like the influences of the Victorian age and they go along with the other accessories in the house. Dont avoid this design simply because you think you cant afford it; there are numerous fabric stores that would gladly offer you custom made curtains and draperies to give your house a Presidential-inspired look.

Only if you buy curtains from Home Interiors 4 U, the atmosphere of your house will be entirely enlivened.
